Frequently Asked Questions

Q & A

(Q) How come you guys have your wedding DJ pricing posted, but other wedding DJ companies don't post any pricing on their site?
(A) We believe in transparent, honest pricing—no hidden fees or surprises. Most wedding DJ companies don't post prices because they want to control the sales process. Here's why: Mandatory sales calls - They require hour-long consultations before revealing any pricing. Venue-based pricing - They charge different rates for identical services based on your venue's prestige. For example, the same DJ might charge $3,500 at a luxury venue but only $1,050 at a budget location for exactly the same service. Our approach is different: No sales calls or high-pressure tactics Same fair pricing regardless of your venue Optional 15-minute calls with your actual DJ to ensure we're a great fit. Complete transparency from day one, this honest approach has made us one of the most trusted wedding DJ companies in the county.

(Q) Do you charge a separate fee for delivery?
(A) Nope. All of our pricing, whether for djing or for lighting includes setup, takedown and delivery in the pricing. We try to keep the pricing very simple and transparent.
(Q) What's your DJ style or specialty?
(A)  Our style is determined 100% by your music tastes and the vibe you want. I'm skilled in artistic music mixing and a professional “cheese-free” approach to announcements and microphone work. Many DJs think that it is their job to put on a show and be the center of attention at the reception. We believe firmly that your wedding is your show, and we have no interest in taking the spotlight from you. Your dance floor will be packed, because your DJ played the right songs (at the right time) from your request list and mixed them in just the right sequence - not because he chattered endlessly on the microphone.
(Q) I don’t want the music at my wedding to be traditional wedding music. Can you do that?
(A) Most definitely! We’re not at all attached to tradition – we’re here to incorporate the music you request, and to mix it in a way that will create the kind of wedding you’ve envisioned.
(Q) Can you shorten, extend or edit songs? (like for the ceremony or first dance)
(A) Yes we can. We can easily shorten songs (for example if you only want to dance to one verse of a song during a parent dance) and extend songs (for example having a song play on a loop during the ceremony while the bridal party is coming down).
(Q) How involved are you in helping us to plan our music?
(A) We are more than willing to provide you with plenty of suggestions based on your preferences, and we’re perfectly comfortable selecting most (or all) of the music if you aren’t interested in doing so. Our extensive knowledge of music enables us to work with your requests and create a mood that reflects your tastes while creating a great atmosphere for all of your guests.
(Q) Do you take song requests?
(A) Yes we do. But keep in mind, every time we get a song request by a guest at a wedding or an event we immediately ask ourselves 2 questions; 1. Will this song fit with the playlist provided by the client?, 2. Will this song sound good being played now? For example there are times at weddings where someone will request a dance song during dinner and then we will tell that person that we will play that song but later on once the volume is turned up and people are dancing. We pride ourselves in not just playing good music, but knowing WHEN to play good music.
(Q) What are the terms of payment if I book your services?
(A) A 25% deposit is due with your signed contract within 14 days of your initial consultation with your DJ. This contract reserves and guarantees the services of that specific DJ on your wedding day. The remaining balance is collected on the night of your event, if not before. DJ Tim accepts personal and business checks, certified checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, PayPal and Zelle for payments and deposits.
